Job summary

Zions Bank in Downtown Salt Lake City is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to underwrite and service a portfolio of commercial loan relationships. You will spread and analyze financial statements, monitor credit performance, and manage loan reporting while delivering excellent client service.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of credit lending or 5 years related experience, strong underwriting skills, and advanced Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 2–4 years credit lending or 5 years related experience.
• Comprehensive underwriting knowledge.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial lending.
• Deep knowledge of credit analysis, spreading financial statements, and loan documentation.
• Experience with bank loan and deposit systems preferred.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
• Advanced MS Office proficiency, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and service a portfolio of commercial loan relationships.
• Spread and analyze financial statements and assess industry risks.
• Manage loan reporting including past dues and collateral exceptions.
• Provide client service with clear communication and professionalism.
• Develop and maintain existing client relationships.
• Assist Relationship Managers and Branch Managers with credit requests.
• Collaborate with internal/external clients on sensitive and routine matters.
• Expand relationships to achieve high customer satisfaction and support business needs.
