Job summary

UMB Bank is seeking a Portfolio Manager - BBBLC to assist Business Banking and Practice Finance officers in portfolio management, primarily for loans over $500,000, reviewed and managed by BBLC. You will partner with relationship managers and client managers, performing underwriting for renewals, modifications, and credit reviews.

The role involves analyzing financial statements, presenting credit solutions, monitoring portfolio health, and guiding risk management across a multi-state footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related area with at least 6 hours of accounting AND 1+ year in Business Loan experience.
• Demonstrated credit decision making and financial analysis skills.
• Excellent writing and verbal/interpersonal communication, ability to work independently; proficiency in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and personal financial statements and perform financial spreading with the underwriting team.
• Present credit structure and covenant solutions to the Underwriter.
• Monitor portfolio for loan exceptions, covenants, past dues and other management activities.
• Identify and address early warning signs and take actions per protocol.
• Provide risk guidance on watch list credits across multiple states.
• Secure financial information and test covenants requirements.
