Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. seeks a licensed plumber to join our Texas service team in Austin. The role focuses on commercial plumbing in new construction, tenant improvements, and maintenance for customers in retail, grocery, and convenience store sectors.

You will diagnose clogs, install fixtures, repair water heaters, and ensure code-compliant solutions. A company vehicle and gas card support field duties; overtime is possible but not guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Texas Journeyman Plumbing license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service to clients on site.
• Diagnose and clear clogged lines; perform camera inspections.
• Install, repair or replace commercial plumbing fixtures and water heaters.
• Diagnose issues with sanitary waste, vent, or potable water piping.
• Inspect and service grease traps, interceptors, sump pumps, and lift stations.
• Submit service paperwork with a job summary after each visit.
• Coordinate with team to complete projects on time.
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with guidelines.

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) is headquartered in California and has been in business for over 20 years. With operations in Texas, we provide skilled commercial services specializing in retail, grocery, and convenience store projects, including tenant improvements, remodels, and 24/7 service supported by our dedicated plumbing management and dispatch teams.

We are seeking a Licensed Plumber to join our Plumbing Service team. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of recent commercial plumbing experience in new construction, tenant improvement projects, or commercial service. A company vehicle and gas card are provided to support commutes between jobsites and field operations.

Schedule

• Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday
• Overtime available but not guaranteed

Responsibilities

• Provide informative customer service to clients with professional conduct
• Diagnose and clear clogged main and branch lines using cable machines, and perform camera line inspections
• Install, repair or replace commercial plumbing fixtures and water heaters
• Properly diagnose and repair issues with sanitary waste, vent, or potable water pipes
• Inspect or repair grease traps, interceptors, sump pumps and lift stations
• Diagnose and unclog drains with cable machines, hydro jets, or camera lines
• Submit service paperwork with a summary of the work provided after each service appointment
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner
• Drive and operate company vehicles within department guidelines
• Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department

Requirements

• Journeyman Plumbing License issued by Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners
• Valid driver license with no more than two points or driving restrictions on the driving record
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Verbal and written English literacy for the use of cell phone and mobile email communication
