As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Superintendent to lead field operations, develop high-performing teams, and ensure successful project execution across our commercial construction portfolio.

Position Overview
The Commercial Plumbing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and directing all field operations for commercial plumbing projects. This role serves as the bridge between project management and field execution, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive commercial plumbing experience, excellent communication skills, and a track record of delivering successful projects while building and developing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead daily field operations on commercial plumbing construction projects.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and project resources.
- Partner with Project Managers to maintain project schedules, budgets, and productivity goals.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure successful execution.
- Identify and proactively resolve field conflicts, installation challenges, and construction issues.
- Monitor project progress and provide ongoing updates to project stakeholders.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, plumbing codes, and company standards.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections and jobsite audits.
- Enforce company safety policies and promote a strong safety-first culture.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training initiatives.
- Ensure proper installation methods and quality workmanship across all projects.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop Plumbing Foremen and field personnel.
- Support workforce planning, manpower forecasting, and crew assignments.
- Foster accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Train and develop future field leaders within the organization.
- Promote a positive and productive jobsite culture.
Communication & Documentation
- Maintain accurate daily reports, labor tracking, and project documentation.
- Communicate effectively with General Contractors, Project Managers, clients, inspectors, and subcontractors.
- Participate in project meetings and planning discussions.
- Assist with project forecasting and field production reporting.
Qualifications
Required
- 8+ years of commercial plumbing construction experience
- 3+ years of experience leading crews, foremen, or field operations
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, installation practices, and applicable building codes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, and construction documents
- Experience managing multiple projects, crews, and schedules simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Commercial Plumbing Superintendent
- South Carolina Journeyman or Master Plumbing License
- Experience with hospitals, healthcare facilities, schools, industrial plants, and large-scale commercial projects
- Knowledge of construction scheduling software and digital reporting systems
- OSHA training or additional industry certificates
