Job summary

Superior Electrical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a skilled commercial plumber for night shifts in Hawaii.

The role requires at least four years of relevant plumbing experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. You will read blueprints, install piping, fixtures, grease traps, and wastewater systems in retail environments, while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of recent and relevant commercial plumbing experience.
• Valid driver license with no more than two points on the driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Verbal and written English literacy for communication.
• Willingness to work night schedule and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Demo and replace plumbing piping (PVC, ABS, cast iron (no-hub), and/or copper).
• Mount new fixtures and trim per manufacturer specs and codes.
• Install and repair grease traps, sump pumps, sanitary waste systems, water systems, and utilities in commercial retail settings.
• Complete light construction repairs on concrete, asphalt, drywall, tile and trim.
• Perform manual labor to clean and prepare jobsites; dig trenches and set braces for excavation sides.
• Operate equipment such as jackhammers and saw cutters.
• Read and layout work from blueprints, plans, and isometric drawings.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies.

Superior Electrical & Plumbing, Inc. brings over 20 years of experience in commercial construction and skilled trade services, specializing in retail, grocery, and convenience store projects. We provide commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and remodels, supported by 24/7 emergency response and preventive maintenance programs.

Schedule

• Sunday to Thursday, 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
• Overtime available but not guaranteed
• Travel opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Demo and replace plumbing piping, including PVC, ABS, cast iron (no-hub), and/or copper
• Mount new fixtures and trim according to manufacturer specifications and applicable municipal codes
• Install and repair grease traps, sump pumps, sanitary waste systems, water systems, and utilities within a commercial retail environment
• Complete light construction repairs or installations on concrete, asphalt, drywall, tile and trim
• Perform manual labor to clean and prepare jobsites, including (but not limited to) digging trenches, setting braces to support excavation sides, erecting scaffolding, and removing rubble, debris, and other waste materials
• Properly use equipment such as jackhammers and saw cutters
• Read and layout work from blueprints, plans, and isometric drawings
• Work in accordance with current OSHA safety guidelines and company policies
• Drive company issued vehicles in accordance with company policies
• Accurately record commute and travel time as required. Technicians may be eligible for paid drive time upon meeting qualification requirements
• Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department
• Minimum of four years of recent and relevant commercial plumbing experience
