Job summary

Kraken is seeking an Assistant General Counsel – Commercial (Partnerships) to lead the legal strategy for cutting‑edge product partnerships across the organization. You will partner with Product, Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Regulatory teams to shape go-to-market structures and ensure legally sound arrangements.

Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent legal degree and active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of commercial legal experience, ideally mix of top-tier law firm and in-house.
• Proven track record leading complex, high-stakes commercial transactions in a global environment (tech, SaaS, partnerships).
• Deep understanding of product development and go-to-market strategies from a legal perspective.

Responsibilities

• Lead Kraken’s product partnership commercial legal efforts with cross-functional partners (Product, Sales, Finance, Engineering, Regulatory).
• Advise leadership on technology agreements, strategic partnerships, and terms of service.
• Oversee templates, playbooks, AI processes, and risk management for scalable operations.
• Support contract lifecycle management and process automation across the function.
• Assist with M&A diligence and integration as needed.
