Job summary

Higham Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Painting Foreman to manage day-to-day operations on commercial projects in the DMV region.

You will directly lead a crew, assign tasks, ensure quality aligns with specs and manufacturer requirements, and report progress to the Superintendent and Project Manager. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience leading field crews in a commercial trade business.
• Completed OSHA 30 certification or related trade safety training.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of coatings systems, surface prep, and application methods.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and specifications
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Strong leadership and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable directing a crew and solving problems on the spot.

• Document daily job logs, track crew labor hours, and report field updates to accounting.
• Communicate progress, delays, equipment needs, and field challenges with superintendents.
• Train and mentor crew members on proper technique and company standards

• Trade Program or Technical Certification in painting, or construction management.
• Procore, Autodesk, BlueBeam Project management programs - commonly used onsite with a tablet.
