Job summary

Dooge Development, LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Painter Foreman to lead painting crews on commercial construction and renovation projects. The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of coatings, and the ability to manage crews, schedules, and on-site coordination while upholding high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with project managers, supervise safety, and train painters.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial painting experience.
• Foreman or supervisory experience required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial coatings, finishes, and application techniques.
• Experience on occupied and active construction sites.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; OSHA safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate commercial painting crews on active job sites.
• Plan daily work activities to keep projects on schedule.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project scopes.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
• Train and oversee painters and laborers.
• Monitor job site safety and enforce OSHA requirements.
• Prepare surfaces (patching, sanding, masking, caulking, priming).
• Apply paints, coatings, stains, finishes with brushes, rollers, spray equipment.
• Operate and maintain painting equipment (sprayers, lifts).
• Identify and complete punch list items.
• Track labor, materials, and equipment needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.

• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
• Experience operating lifts and other job site equipment preferred
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying job site conditions
