Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience estimating commercial painting projects.
• Strong blueprint reading and cost analysis.
• Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff and MS Excel.
• Ability to develop client relationships and pursue new opportunities.
• Education in construction management is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Quantify materials, labor, and equipment for painting and wall coverings from digital drawings.
• Quantify for existing structures by field measurement and takeoffs.
• Prepare proposals for clients and submit in a timely fashion.
• Communicate with general contractors, owners, and property managers.
• Foster relationships with existing and new clients.
• Create a pipeline of opportunities by growing and leveraging your network.
• Identify potential clients and build relationships with decision makers.
• Follow-up with clients post-bid.
• Prepare submittals, samples and drawdowns for bids.
• Assist operations with pricing change documents as needed.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications to guide superintendents and budgets.
• Monitor progress and costs versus budgets to gauge production against estimates.
