JLL is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician (Painting and Light Carpentry) in Portsmouth, NH, primarily on 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will paint, perform light carpentry, and manage routine facility maintenance across a commercial portfolio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of commercial/institutional painting and carpentry experience or completion of an apprenticeship.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; travel between properties may be required.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform overhead work.
• Ability to work independently on 2nd/3rd shifts (Wed–Sun).
• Strong safety knowledge for commercial maintenance environments.
• Solid communication and basic computer/documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, prime, and paint interior/exterior surfaces; mix colors; hang wall coverings; repair drywall and plaster.
• Perform light carpentry: install/repair doors, locks, furniture, shelving, fixtures.
• Troubleshoot basic building systems; carpet/flooring repairs; minor plumbing; general upkeep.
• Protect work areas with drop cloths, masks, barriers; maintain cleanliness.
• Conduct routine overnight inspections to identify maintenance needs.
• Document completed work, materials used, observations in basic systems.
• Coordinate with property management and other staff for seamless service.
