National Coatings Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Painter to service exterior and interior projects, including wallcoverings and coatings for commercial, industrial, and specialty applications.

You will prepare surfaces, match colors, and apply finishes with precision while representing the company on client sites. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Surface preparation: priming, sanding, sealing, and patching with various paints and coatings.
• Color matching and product verification to align with job files.
• Apply coatings to new, existing, and remodeled buildings with precision.
• Represent the company professionally at client job sites.
• Interpret blueprints and scope specifications for accurate painting tasks.
• Complete required reports in a timely manner.
• Process field change orders and submittals as needed.
• Operate and maintain scaffolding, ladders, and spray systems.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles; keep work area safe.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by priming, sanding, sealing, and patching, utilizing a variety of painting materials including varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, waterproofing, and heat-resistant finishes.


• Color Matching: Cross-check colors and confirm supplied products to match job files.


• Application Skills: Apply materials to new construction, existing, and remodeled buildings with precision and expertise.


• Professional Representation: Exhibit a professional demeanor and effectively represent the company while working at client job sites.


• Blueprint Interpretation: Understand and interpret blueprints and scope specifications to ensure accurate execution of painting tasks.


• Documentation: Complete required reports accurately and in a timely manner.


• Change Orders: Understand the importance of and proficiently complete field change orders and submittals.


• Equipment Proficiency: Trained and capable with multi-level scaffolding, extension ladders, and spray systems.


• Maintenance: Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned trucks, ensuring they are in optimal condition; always keep a clean and safe work area.


• Extensive Knowledge: Possess and apply in-depth knowledge of various painting materials and application methods.
