Job Description Summary
GE Vernova’s Power Conversion business provides electrification systems that are critical to customers’ power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with some of the world’s major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop commercial proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage commercial risk to secure profitable business.
- Lead contract negotiations and customer meetings, including legal aspects, and bring deals to closure.
- Create project cash flows considering project profiles, exchange rates, and cost escalations, utilizing financial and technical tools.
- Develop proposals for RFQ/RFI/RFP, collaborating with Sales, Legal, Finance, Engineering, and Sourcing to align customer expectations with company profitability and risk profiles.
- Ensure compliance with the commercial risk process and lead technical, profitability, and commercial discussions during risk meetings.
- Communicate complex concepts effectively and influence stakeholder opinions.
- Collaborate with other GE Vernova businesses and work globally to increase market penetration.
- Use judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks, assessing information quality and asking pertinent questions.
- Offer innovative solutions and provide recommendations, leveraging internal and external sources.
- Work with regional teams to identify opportunities for simplification and productivity improvements.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or equivalent with at least 10 years of professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in Commercial operations, Sales, Business, or Contract Law related to power systems or similar fields.
- At least 2 years reviewing customer specifications, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- Willingness to travel 20% of the time.
