Job Description

ABOUT SMPLY BRANDS

SMPLY Brands is a leading U.S. manufacturer and distributor of high-performance wipes, paper towels, napkins, and tissue products for homes and facilities nationwide. With a strong domestic supply chain and sustainably sourced raw materials, we deliver reliable products across diverse environments — from industrial facilities and foodservice operations to everyday household use — with flexible private label options and custom specifications supporting some of the most recognized supply chains in the country. Headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, we are growing quickly through new national programs and long-term customer partnerships, and we run an entrepreneurial company committed to operational excellence: we invest in modern systems, promote from within, and give capable people real responsibility early. If you want your work to be visible and your growth to be earned rather than waited on, you will fit in well here.

THE OPPORTUNITY

SMPLY Brands is hiring a Commercial Operations Coordinator to support order fulfillment, logistics coordination, and supply chain execution across a national distribution network. The role sits at the center of how orders move — from intake and documentation through carrier scheduling, delivery confirmation, and record completion — and is directly responsible for the accuracy and timeliness that our operations, our reporting, and our customers depend on. It is a high-volume, detail-driven position built for someone early in their career who is ready to take real ownership and grow with the company.

Success in this role looks like orders that never wait, records that are always right, and partners who trust what you send them. You will work daily with warehouse teams, freight carriers, and colleagues across operations, sales, and finance, and the quality of your execution will be visible to all of them. For the right person, this is a foundation seat — the place where you learn how a national supply chain actually runs, one order at a time.

WHY JOIN SMPLY BRANDS

  • Growth you can see — new national programs launching and a team expanding with them

  • Real responsibility from day one, with structured training and direct access to experienced leadership

  • A defined path to advancement — we promote from within as the company grows

  • Modern tools and a company-wide commitment to automating repetitive work

  • The stability of everyday-essential products, with the pace of a growing business

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and validate customer purchase orders across multiple intake channels with accuracy and timeliness

  • Prepare and distribute shipping documentation — including bills of lading (BOLs) and packing lists — for outbound freight

  • Coordinate scheduling between warehouse locations and freight carriers, and confirm execution on both sides

  • Monitor and track shipments in transit; resolve or escape exceptions promptly

  • Maintain complete, accurate order records through delivery confirmation and closure

  • Support billing accuracy through timely and correct order completion

  • Produce recurring operational and logistics reports, and support continuous improvement of reporting processes

  • Assist with inbound receiving coordination and related documentation

  • Communicate professionally with warehouses, carriers, and internal teams throughout the order lifecycle

  • Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement as the function grows

  • Support special projects and new program launches as the business expands

A DAY IN THIS ROLE

Most days begin with reviewing new orders and entering them accurately into our systems, then move through preparing shipping documentation, scheduling and confirming carrier pickups, tracking freight in transit, and closing out completed orders. Along the way, you will answer questions from warehouse and carrier partners, flag anything that looks off before it becomes a problem, and keep records current so reporting and billing stay accurate. The work is steady, structured, and detail-driven — the kind of role where organized people build an excellent reputation quickly.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2–5 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain, order management, fulfillment, or customer operations — or a comparable record of accurate, high-volume administrative work; experience in manufacturing or distribution environments is a plus

  • Exceptional attention to detail and consistent follow-through

  • Strong written and verbal communication for daily coordination with external partners and internal teams

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets; experience with ERP, CRM, order management (OMS), or EDI systems is a plus

  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage many open items at once without close oversight

  • Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a deadline-driven environment

  • A proactive, team-first communication style — you close loops and keep people informed

  • Sound judgment about when to proceed, when to ask, and when to escalte

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, operations, logistics, or a related field a plus, but not required — we hire for habits and trajectory

WHO THRIVES HERE

  • People who find genuine satisfaction in accuracy — the ones who notice the small discrepancy everyone else missed

  • Self-starters who keep commitments without reminders and communicate before being asked

  • Organized multitaskers who can carry many open items across a busy day without dropping any

  • Early-career professionals looking for a company where responsibility and advancement are earned quickly

  • Process-minded people who like making work smoother, faster, and better documented

HOW YOU’LL GROW

You will start with structured onboarding and direct training from experienced operations leadership, then take on increasing ownership as your accuracy and judgment are proven. From there, the path can develop in several directions — deeper into logistics and freight analysis, into systems and reporting, or toward customer operations — with title and compensation progression defined along the way. We are hiring for trajectory, and we promote from within. Coordinators who master this seat are first in line as the function expands, and your development will be an explicit topic in regular reviews — not something you have to chase.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A full-time, salaried position — Monday through Friday, standard business hours

  • Benefits package [confirm final list — e.g., medical, dental, vision, paid time off, paid holidays]

  • Preference for Franklin, TN or Tulsa, OK, with openness to hybrid or remote arrangements; periodic travel for team sessions

  • Structured onboarding and direct training with experienced operations leadership

  • A defined path to increased responsibility, title growth, and compensation progression

  • A collaborative, down-to-earth team culture where good work gets noticed

  • Starting salary commensurate with experience

LOCATION AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role can be based near our Franklin, Tennessee headquarters — in the greater Nashville area — or in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area, where part of our operations team is based. We are open to hybrid or remote arrangements for the right candidate. Wherever you sit, expect structured business-hours work, close day-to-day collaboration with operations leadership, and periodic travel for team sessions and training.

OUR HIRING PROCESS

  • Apply with a resume and a brief cover letter

  • Introductory phone conversation with our team

  • First interview focused on your experience and working style

  • Advancing candidates receive a detailed role overview under a standard confidentiality agreement, followed by a second, deeper conversation

  • Final discussion and offer
