Objectives of the Role:
AgriCapture is seeking a driven, commercially minded Commercial Manager to own and accelerate top of funnel pipeline development across our buyer relationships for carbon, water and Scope 3. This is an account management-level role with a strong emphasis on communications, revenue generation, moving prospects through the sales cycle, managing due diligence and contracting processes, and building lasting relationships with corporate sustainability buyers and credit purchasers.
You will serve as a key business development point of contact for active and prospective buyers to manage relationships and ensure client success, while also overseeing outside communications and marketing vendors. You will support revenue growth by supporting the sales operations in a growing commercial team. The ideal candidate is a disciplined sales professional who understands environmental markets, can effectively communicate across multiple constituent types, thrives in a startup environment, and is contribution-minded and solution-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage a pipeline of prospective buyers across Carbon, Water, and Scope 3 markets, from lead generation and qualification through close
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of active accounts and inbound leads, ensuring timely follow ups and steady pipeline movement in partnership with the Demand Team
- Manage CRM records, due diligence responses, data rooms, and RFP requests to keep pipeline and revenue tracking accurate and current
- Guide buyers through due diligence processes, including responding to RFPs, data requests, and technical questions about AgriCapture's credit quality and methodology, and ensure buyer questions and concerns are addressed efficiently with team input
- Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate contracting and offtake agreement execution
- Develop and improve proposal templates, term sheets, and marketing materials tailored to buyer segments
- Research environmental market trends and proactively engage with the latest market research and trends and proactively inform the team of market opportunities that align with AgriCapture’s value proposition
- Gather and synthesize buyer feedback to inform product development and go-to-market strategy
Event Coordination & Conference Presence
- Plan and manage AgriCapture’s presence at key sustainability and agriculture conferences, including hosted events, speaker coordination, attendee invitations, and venue logistics
- Maintain a conference roadmap to ensure deliberate, high-value company presence at priority events and convert conference touchpoints into pipeline activity through disciplined follow-up
- Support the development and continuous improvement of sales operations processes, including pipeline reporting, proposal workflows, and CRM hygiene
- Prepare tailored proposals, pitch decks, and supporting collateral for buyer conversations
Communications & Marketing Oversight
- Support AgriCapture’s external communications and marketing efforts, including sourcing and managing outside vendors such design agencies and web-design firms
- Ensure proposals, pitch materials, and public-facing content are consistent with AgriCapture’s brand, messaging, and value proposition
Required Qualifications
- Experience in account management, business development, or sales roles
- Demonstrated track record of managing a sales pipeline and closing commercial agreements
- Experience managing or supporting due diligence and contracting processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage credibly with sophisticated corporate buyers
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple accounts and workstreams simultaneously
- Willingness to travel to sustainability and agriculture conferences throughout the year (~10% of time)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working or interning in agriculture, carbon, or sustainability organizations
- Familiarity with voluntary carbon markets (VCM), Scope 3 solutions, or environmental attribute markets strongly preferredl>
- Communications or marketing experience or fluency, including comfort sourcing and managing outside vendors such as a PR firm/agency or website vendor
