Job summary

Blackfin, LLC is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure a commercial building runs smoothly through hands-on maintenance and repairs. The role includes coordinating with contractors and maintaining safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years in building operations or construction. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, pass background checks, and be a U.S. citizen. We offer stable full-time hours in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in commercial building operations, maintenance, or construction preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Must be able to pass a company and government clearance background check.
• U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on building systems, including painting, drywall patching, carpet tile replacement, plumbing, carpentry, and more.
• Ensure all maintenance work meets industry standards and equipment manufacturer specifications.
• Document all activities through our work order system, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with the lease and landlord obligations.
• Respond to emergency repairs, assisting in unscheduled issues when needed.
• Communicate effectively with tenants, visitors, and property management, ensuring clear and proactive communication.
• Monitor and assist contractors on-site to ensure quality and safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
