Job summary

Tarantino Properties seeks a Commercial Maintenance Engineer for a portfolio across the Austin MSA. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds on a busy commercial property portfolio.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years in commercial property maintenance, and strong communication with tenants. Associate degree or trade school training is a plus. On-site position with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree or trade school experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of direct commercial property maintenance/operations experience.
• Must be reliable, professional, flexible, and able to communicate effectively with tenants.

Responsibilities

• Perform completion of work orders and maintenance requests, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect properties regularly to ensure building systems (elevator, HVAC, fire, plumbing, electrical) are well maintained.
• Oversee maintenance or repairs by third party vendors to ensure proper scope of work.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations including after-hours calls.
• Perform other duties as needed as determined by Property Manager.
• Floating position.
