Job summary

Cathay Bank is seeking a diligent Loan Servicing professional in Rosemead, CA to handle post-closing tasks and ongoing servicing of the loan portfolio. You will book loans, process disbursements, maintain ledgers, and respond to borrower inquiries with accuracy and care.

The role requires at least 2 years in commercial loan servicing, proficiency with MS Office, and familiarity with the IBS loan system. Bilingual abilities (English and Mandarin or Cantonese) are a plus in a diverse team

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college courses a
• Experience: 2 + years of commercial loan servicing experience
• Skills/Ability: PC literate, email etiquette and composition, proficiency with MS Office; use of IBS loan system a plus; ability to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy; strong problem-solving and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret Laserpro and/or attorney prepared Commercial Loan Documentation; bilingual (English, Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Book new loans, renewals, extensions and modifications in accordance with credit approval and bank’s policies.
• Review daily maintenance, tickler and exception reports
• Manage Internal Control Reports
• Process International loan disbursements and board sub-notes as
• Process GL Entries in People
• Document Gathering for Legal Subpoena.
• Prepare and certify monthly general ledger accounts, as
• Process Rate Conversions and Rate Rollovers Pursuant to Loan
• Respond to borrower, branch, internal partners and others with excellent customer
• Review and clear items from daily exception report.
• Prepare and submit outgoing wires for approval and release.
• Perform basic loan research as
• Additional functions including but not limited to the following:
• Prepare Cashiers Check's
• Prepare GL Tickets for paper checks from Lockbox and regular mail
• Misc System Maintenance
• Process Change of Address Requests
• Process Automatic Payment Requests
• Scan and file work papers and loan documents
• Process incoming wires for payoffs, payments, and pay-downs

General Summary

Under supervision of the Department Supervisor and following established policies and procedures, perform all post-closing duties relating to the servicing of the Bank’s loan portfolio, according to separation of duties established by the Department Head including but not limited to the Essential Functions listed below

Other Details

$25.48 – $32.21 / hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
