Job summary

Commerce Bank is seeking a detail-oriented individual to provide back-office operations support for commercial, business banking, and specialty lending products. You will review loan submissions, prepare documents, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with internal and external partners.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to analyze complex loan paperwork, with a hybrid in-office schedule. Prior lending experience is preferred and U.S.

• Ability to analyze, interpret, and understand commercial loan and/or legal documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete a preliminary review of loan submissions to ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
• Prepare loan documents in accordance with Commerce Bank’s credit policy.
• Interpret complex loan documents to set loans up on the loan accounting system.
• Post loan transactions and provide account problem resolution.
• Provide ongoing monitoring and reporting of collateral securing commercial loans.
• Complete a post-closing review to ensure all documents comply with regulatory requirements and Commerce Bank policy.
• Collaborate with internal and external business partners to improve service levels.
• Provide research and resolution to customer concerns/issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation Range

Hourly: $19.00 - $27.65 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

Essential Functions

• Complete a preliminary review of loan submissions to ensure regulatory and legal compliance
• Prepare loan documents in accordance with Commerce Bank’s credit policy

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Education & Experience

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• 1+ years customer services experience required
• Commercial lending experience preferred
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
• Hybrid Schedule: In office 3 days per week

This compensation range is for the Commercial Loan Servicing Representative, Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist, and Senior Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist job and contemplates a wide range of factors that are considered in determining most appropriate job level and making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location, skill sets, education, relevant experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $19.00 to $27.65 per hour.
