Job summary

Civista Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Quality Control Analyst in Sandusky, OH. You will review complex commercial loan documentation pre- and post-closing, identify exceptions, and collaborate with lenders, credit analysts, and other partners to ensure compliant closings and servicing.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, and cross-functional communication to maintain a high-quality loan portfolio and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 3–5 years in commercial loan processing, loan operations, quality control, audit, compliance, credit review, or related banking experience.

Responsibilities

• Quality Control and Loan Documentation Review: verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance of complex loan documentation.
• Compliance and Risk Management: review files for federal and state lending laws; assist audits and examinations.
• Collateral and Exception Tracking: monitor collateral exceptions and post-closing requirements; ensure lien positions are maintained.
• Business Partner Support: advise lenders, analysts and staff on documentation requirements and quality expectations.
• Process Improvement and Operational Excellence: support efficiency and workflow improvements within Operations and QC.
• Customer Service: provide accurate, courteous service and maintain confidentiality.
