Job summary

Western State Bank in Chandler, AZ is seeking an experienced Commercial Banking Associate III to support commercial lending activities, prepare and review loan documentation, and coordinate closing requirements. You will work with loan officers, customers, and banks to move loans from approval through funding and servicing, handling complex documents in LaserPro and ensuring accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Commercial loan processing experience, including experience and training with complex loans.
• Associate degree or two-year college equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of Commercial and Agricultural loan documentation and processing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while knowing when to elevate an issue.
• Strong communication, customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally and with discretion.
• Experience with LaserPro strongly aligned with the responsibilities of this role.

Responsibilities

• Preparing Commercial loan documents in LaserPro based on approved terms and conditions.
• Coordinating pre- and post-closing activities, including flood certificates, lien searches, title work, insurance, funding, invoice payments, and document imaging.
• Maintaining documentation ticklers and preparing follow-up requests to keep loan files complete and current.
• Working with participation banks on new participated loans and ongoing file documentation.
• Supporting the team with accurate, timely information throughout the loan process.
• Assisting leadership with updates to team policies and procedures.
• Helping train new and existing team members on processes and best practices.
• Identifying opportunities to improve workflows and strengthen the customer experience.
• Taking on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.
