Job summary

Performance Bankers in Omaha, NE seeks a Commercial Loan Officer to grow our commercial lending revenue and deposit base. This on-site role focuses on building loan and deposit relationships with clients across business banking, agriculture, and CRE sectors.

You will evaluate credit, structure loans within policy, and maintain a portfolio while engaging with local communities and professional groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field is required.
• 2+ years of commercial lending experience preferred.

The Commercial Loan Officer position specializes in providing loans and other banking products to clients across multiple areas, such as business banking, agriculture, and commercial real estate. This role directly drives revenue growth by building strong relationships with bank customers, building and maintaining the bank’s loan portfolio, and providing financial services to clients.

This position is located in Omaha, NE. It is not a remote position.

What you will do

• Develops loan and deposit relationships with current and prospective bank customers.
• Evaluates client/applicant’s credit and financial status to determine appropriate lending decisions based on company risk-tolerance levels.
• Structures loans within loan policy guidelines for presentation and approval by loan committee.
• Determines value or status of collateral as necessary during the loan application process.
• Maintains a strong knowledge of bank products and identifies opportunities to recommend products and services to customers.
• Executes sales strategies to grow commercial lending revenue and bank deposits.
• Manages existing loan portfolio and reviews financials including tax returns to ensure loan complies with covenants and policy.
• Builds relationships with key members of the community, building a network to grow commercial lending revenue and deposit growth.
• Represents the bank at local community and professional organization events.
• Maintains a strong understanding of internal bank policies and banking regulations.
• Other Duties as assigned.

What you will need

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
• 2+ years of commercial lending preferred.
