Job summary

Gulf Capital Bank seeks a Commercial Loan Documentation/Closing Specialist to prepare and review loan documents for complex commercial loans, CRE and non-real estate purposes, and loan modifications. The role ensures complete support documentation, coordinates with lending staff, Credit Administration and Compliance, and secures perfected bank liens and accurate regulatory compliance.

Bachelor’s degree preferred and 3+ years in commercial loan documentation; FISERV Premier experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in or related field preferred.
• 3+ years experience in commercial loan documentation preparation.
• FISERV Premier experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare commercial loan documents ensuring adherence to regulations and policy.
• Review documents for accuracy and consistency with approval requirements.
• Review collateral documents such as title commitments and UCC searches.
• Confirm appraisals/environmental reports are completed with proper sign-off.
• Process and upload loan files to meet standards and funding requirements.
• Handle loan modification requests including renewals, deferrals, and modifications.
• Process Letters of Credit and ensure file completeness.
• Provide support to Loan Officers to process loans per policy and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with HMDA, CRA, Flood, Beneficial Ownership, CIP, Environmental, Regulation O and B.
• Review files with attorney for processing and ensure codes are in system.
• Prioritize workflow to meet SLAs and minimize delays.
• Assist with audits and exams and back up Loan Operations as needed.
