Job summary

Raydar, a New York law firm, is seeking an experienced commercial litigator to manage a full docket from pleadings through trial preparation. You will appear in state and federal court and build a personal client base.

You will draft filings, conduct depositions, and collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters while developing business relationships and contributing to the firm’s growth. This hybrid role is based in New York City.

Qualifications

• Five to six years of commercial litigation experience, with some flexibility.
• Able to draft court papers unaided from initial draft to filing.
• Experience examining witnesses under oath and litigating motions in trial courts.
• Licensed to practice in New York, or ability to obtain licensure promptly.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial matters on your own from pleadings through dispositive motions and trial prep.
• Prepare written filings from draft to submission and appear before judges on discovery disputes and scheduling conferences.
• Take and defend substantive depositions across a varied commercial caseload.
• Work with senior attorneys and colleagues in other practice groups on complex matters.
• Develop your own client relationships and bring in new business.
