Verrus in the United States is seeking an experienced commercial litigation attorney to support a national practice with offices across the country. The role offers a hybrid work setting and exposure to high-stakes matters for Fortune 100 clients in a premier AMLAW100 environment.

The candidate will handle investigations, depositions, pleadings, motions, and client communications across state and federal courts. Strong academics and multi-disciplinary experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial litigation experience across a broad spectrum of disciplines.
• Strong experience across investigations and discovery, pleadings, depositions, arguing motions and client communication.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and articulate legal strategies.
• Proactive, dynamic, and entrepreneurial.

Responsibilities

• Experience with all phases of commercial litigation.
• Conducting factual investigations and discovery.
• Preparing pleadings, taking depositions, arguing motions, participating in mediation, and communicating with clients.
• Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters pending in state and federal courts.
• Experience in administrative matters and arbitrations is beneficial.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial issues.
• Must have taken at least 5+ depositions with being a lead on them.
