Job summary

Enova is seeking a Commercial Litigation Recovery Lead in Denver, CO to advise on litigation strategy and collections policy for recovering small business loans. You will direct outside counsel, manage vendor performance, and partner with Collections, Fraud, Legal, and Analytics to improve recoveries while ensuring compliance with federal and state law.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in commercial collections or creditor-side litigation.
• Experience managing outside counsel or third-party vendors.
• Strong negotiation and risk judgment under pressure.
• Proficiency in Excel and multiple systems (Salesforce, litigation tracking).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with external partners.
• Knowledge of laws governing commercial debt collection and enforcement.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Experience with post-judgment remedies and creditor-side bankruptcy.
• Experience building or managing vendor scorecards, SLAs, or performance-based placement models.

Responsibilities

• Advise on litigation strategy, collections policy, and risk across the small business loan portfolio.
• Direct outside counsel on routine and complex litigation; manage partner performance.
• Translate portfolio insights into recommendations to shape recovery.
• Support Litigation, Bankruptcy, and Analytics teams; assist with escalations and training.
• Manage relationships with outside law firms and OCAs; serve as primary contact for partner leadership.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state law in all litigation and collections activities.
• Partner with Collections, Fraud, Legal, and Analytics to boost recoveries across pre- and post-charge-off lifecycles.
• Lead projects to improve processes, drive efficiency, and increase production.
• Provide monthly and executive reporting on partner and litigation performance.
