Our firm is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney to manage sophisticated commercial litigation matters from initial client intake through successful resolution. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigator who enjoys handling complex business disputes, developing litigation strategy, working directly with clients, and taking an active role in all phases of litigation, including trial and appellate work.

Responsibilities
- Manage commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution, including trial and appeals.
- Review and analyze complex client documentation and develop litigation strategies.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal analyses supporting litigation objectives.
- Draft pleadings, substantive motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, case evaluation statements, and other legal correspondence.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Prepare for and participate in arbitrations, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Provide strategic legal guidance and practical business advice to clients throughout the litigation process.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case developments, expectations, and strategy.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management and successful outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan.
- 10 or more years of commercial litigation experience, including significant experience handling complex business disputes.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a litigation caseload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and client service.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- An established book of business is not required; however, candidates who bring an existing client base will receive commensurate compensation reflective of the value they add to the firm.
- Trial and appellate experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience handling complex commercial disputes involving contracts, business torts, shareholder disputes, and related business litigation is a plus.
