Job Title: Commercial Litigation Associate

Location: Houston, TX

Salary: Close to Cravath Scale

Job Type: On-site (Flexible)

Billable Hours: 1,800 per year

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a minimum of 3 years of commercial litigation experience. This role involves handling a variety of commercial litigation matters, including real estate, gas & energy, construction, contract disputes, and business torts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting legal research and analysis
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Taking and defending depositions
• Providing legal advice and counsel to clients
• Interfacing with clients and maintaining strong client relationships
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive case strategies

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial litigation experience
• Proven ability to handle general commercial litigation, contract disputes, real estate litigation, gas & energy, construction, and business torts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
