Job summary

The People Of: Professional Services in Birmingham, AL seeks a mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join our litigation team. You will handle complex commercial and regulatory disputes, draft motions and pleadings, and manage discovery while collaborating with senior litigators.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of transferable litigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedure and motion practice.
• Experience managing discovery in complex cases.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to client service and community involvement.
• Active Alabama Bar admission.
• Based in Birmingham or willing to relocate before commencement.
• Available to work in the office at least three business days per week.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial and regulatory litigation.
• Draft substantive motions, pleadings and other litigation documents.
• Manage discovery in complex cases.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis.
• Assist with case strategy and litigation preparation.
• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel.
• Manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
• Work closely with partners, senior counsel and associates on significant disputes.
