The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of complex commercial/federal litigation experience, strong academics, excellent writing, and is admitted to NY state and federal courts. Hybrid work is supported with a base salary range disclosed.

Commercial Litigation Associate - New York/Stamford

Robinson+Cole, a Vault "Top Ranked" Am Law 200 firm, seeks a litigation associate to join its growing Managed Care + ERISA Litigation Practice Group in the New York City or Stamford offices.

Our Managed Care + ERISA Litigation team is a regional and national leader in the field, litigating cutting-edge issues in important cases with a recognized history of excellence. We provide comprehensive employee benefits litigation services to a wide range of clients throughout the country, including large employers; leading companies in the health, life, and disability insurance markets; and other clients involved in the operation and administration of benefit plans. Our practice spans federal and state courts and arbitration forums around the country. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, cross-office practice group that provides meaningful training.

The ideal candidate will have four to five years of complex commercial/federal litigation experience; strong academic credentials, excellent writing and analytical skills, and large-firm or equivalent experience. Candidates must be admitted to practice in New York state and federal courts. Experience litigating ERISA benefits, medical provider disputes, and/or insurance coverage disputes is valued, but not required. Judicial clerkship experience is a plus. The successful candidate will receive substantial opportunities and responsibilities, including making court appearances; managing discovery; participating in depositions, arbitrations and trials; and drafting briefs on critical motions.

Please note that all R+C attorneys must be admitted in the state of their primary office location.

Please note that the target base salary range for this position is $202,500 to $210,000 for New York Applicants and $192,500 to $200,000 for Connecticut Applicants. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's class year, years of experience, skills, qualifications, and office location.
