gpac seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3-7 years of experience for a Minneapolis, MN, full-time role. Candidates will work on high-stakes disputes, draft pleadings, conduct research, and support strategy with senior attorneys.

You will handle depositions, motions, and hearings, and engage in mediation and trial preparation, with opportunities for early client interaction and mentorship in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Minnesota bar membership or eligibility to waive in.
• 3-7 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm.
• Strong writing and research skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, or trial prep preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters including contract disputes and business torts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis for litigation strategy.
• Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and manage hearings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Communicate with clients to keep them informed throughout the process.
