Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in commercial litigation.
• Experience handling complex business or commercial disputes.
• Strong drafting, research and advocacy skills.
• Experience at a leading law firm preferred, although strong candidates from boutique or mid-sized litigation practices will also be considered.
• Comfortable taking ownership of matters and managing deadlines.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail and communication skills.
• Commercially minded, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong academic and professional credentials.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on complex commercial and business disputes.
• Handling matters involving contractual disputes, business torts and other commercial claims.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs and other litigation documents.
• Managing discovery, including document production and depositions.
• Conducting legal research and developing case strategy.
• Taking meaningful responsibility for discrete matters and workstreams on larger disputes.
• Working directly with clients, opposing counsel and other parties throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the firm's broader litigation and regulatory practices.
