Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Illinois bar membership.
• 3-7 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm.
• Strong legal writing and research with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, or trial preparation preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes and business torts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic litigation analysis.
• Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and manage hearings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys for mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Communicate effectively with clients throughout the litigation process.
