Job summary

gpac is representing a well-established St. Louis law firm seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience to join its growing practice. This position offers the chance to handle sophisticated business disputes, draft pleadings, participate in depositions, and work closely with seasoned partners.

Missouri bar admission is required; Illinois licensure is a plus, and a competitive benefits package, bonus opportunities, and mentorship are offered.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Missouri (required).
• Illinois licensure is strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Experience handling business disputes, discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Ability to manage multiple matters while providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial litigation matters through all stages of the litigation process.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
• Handle written discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Participate in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel.
• Work collaboratively with partners and colleagues on complex litigation matters.
