Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate in Hartford, CT to join a leading New England firm. You will work closely with senior litigators on a range of commercial disputes, gaining early responsibility and direct client exposure.

In this role, you will draft pleadings, manage discovery, and contribute to strategy and court filings while partnering with partners and clients in a collaborative, growth-minded environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial or corporate disputes.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and other filings.
• Familiarity with discovery practices and e‑discovery processes.
• Strong research, analytical, and legal writing skills.
• Able to work both independently and with a team; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of complex commercial litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other written submissions for state and federal courts
• Manage discovery including document review, production, and e‑discovery coordination
• Conduct legal research and prepare analytical memoranda
• Participate in deposition preparation and potentially attend depositions or hearings
• Work closely with partners and clients to develop litigation strategy
• Maintain organized case management and deadlines across multiple matters
