Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney in Boston, MA to handle complex business disputes from strategy through resolution. You will draft motions, pleadings, and discovery, and manage document production while working closely with seasoned litigators.

The role requires 3+ years of commercial litigation experience at a busy law firm, strong research and writing skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of complex business or commercial litigation experience in a law firm.
• Strong legal research, writing, proofreading, and discovery management skills.
• Knowledge of Massachusetts civil procedure, rules of evidence, and Rule 9A motion practice.
• Experience drafting substantive motions, interrogatories, and document requests.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Comfort using legal research platforms, case management systems, and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex business and commercial litigation matters through multiple stages of litigation.
• Draft persuasive motions, pleadings, briefs, interrogatories, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct in-depth legal research, develop case strategies, and manage discovery and document production.
• Attend depositions, court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations, with opportunities to argue motions.
• Participate in trials and other proceedings alongside experienced litigation attorneys.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate case files, meet deadlines, and deliver polished, detail‑oriented legal work.
