Friedman Williams is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate in New York City with approximately 4–6 years of experience to join its litigation practice. You will work closely with partners on sophisticated disputes, handle case strategy, and manage day-to-day litigation tasks in a collaborative setting.

You will draft pleadings, handle motions and discovery, and interact directly with clients while developing long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Experience handling complex business disputes in a law firm environment.
• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Substantive experience with motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and exercise independent judgment.
• New York Bar admission required.

Responsabilités

• Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts.
• Draft pleadings, substantive motions, discovery motions, and other litigation documents.
• Manage written discovery, document production, and eDiscovery processes.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions, court appearances, and other litigation proceedings.
• Assist with developing case strategy, evaluating claims and defenses, and preparing matters for trial.
• Communicate directly with clients and coordinate with partners and other members of the litigation team.
