The AmLaw 200 firm in Florham Park, NJ is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to support its Metropolitan New York practice. The role offers high‑level NY commercial litigation work with a New Jersey base and no daily Manhattan commute.

Ideal candidates will have a J.D. from a top‑tier law school, NJ and NY bar admissions, 4–6 years of substantive commercial litigation, and strong analytical and writing skills. Prior clerkship and law review are preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in New Jersey and New York, in good standing.
• 4–6 years of substantive commercial litigation experience.
• Prior federal or state judicial clerkship strongly preferred.
• Law review or journal experience preferred.
• Experience with complex insurance coverage litigation is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts across New Jersey and New York.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings as experience allows.
• Support all phases of case management, including strategy development and trial preparation.
• Work closely with senior litigators on complex disputes with high-profile clients.

Our client, a prominent AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney with extensive litigation experience to join its New Jersey office supporting its Metropolitan New York commercial litigation practice. This role is ideal for a New Jersey-based litigator seeking high-level New York commercial litigation work without the daily Manhattan commute.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in New Jersey AND New York, in good standing
• 4-6 years ofsubstantive commercial litigation experience
• Prior federal or state judicial clerkship strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Salary: Expected annual salary range of $175,000-$185,000, as determined by experience and market factors
