Job summary

Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Producer in Phoenix, AZ to join a structured training program designed to prepare participants for a future sales position. You will rotate through departments, gain technical knowledge, and receive ongoing education throughout the program.

You will train via Brown & Brown University and work toward earning the required state license within 90 days, while building relationships with underwriters and learning the marketing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Exceptional telephone demeanor required.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Attend all sales meetings, at the office and off-site.
• Assist teammates with assigned duties as learning experiences.
• Become familiar with the Agency Management System.
• Become familiar with office procedures.
• Complete educational courses or professional designation courses as required by the program.
• Be accountable to the department manager for attendance and work performance.
• Develop relationships with insurance company underwriters.
• Attend insurance company-sponsored events as directed by manager.
• Participate in new business prospecting ("cold calling") exercises.
• Develop knowledge of the marketing process.
• Complete “Brown & Brown University”.

In this role you will be placed in various departments to assist in duties, gain technical knowledge, and learn processes and procedures of Brown & Brown. You will also be given training and educational opportunities throughout the training program. The overall objective is to be prepared to move into a sales position as a Producer at the conclusion of the training program.
