The Cincinnati Insurance Companies in Fairfield, OH, is hiring an underwriting assistant to support account executives across new business, renewals, and post-issue transactions. This role places you at the heart of our Commercial Key Accounts team, handling file preparation, data gathering, and analysis to inform pricing decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Assist account executives in all aspects of file preparation.
• Gather and evaluate information for exposure and controls.
• Complete documents for account pricing analysis.
• Document and analyze claims information for loss rating.
• Run and review MVRs; decide on exclusions.
• Follow up for signed forms and licensing; handle filings.
• Create account proposals for review.
• Apply knowledge of coverage forms to change requests.
• Proficiently use various systems and reports.
• Quality review of quotes and issued policies.
• Manage revisions to quotes to ensure data integrity.
• Communicate with agency partners to relay information.
• Collaborate to ensure compliance with state guidance.
• Draft bind, issue, and booking instructions.
• Partner with team assistants and tech teams on SLAs.
• Handle special projects as directed.

Our Commercial Key Accounts department is currently seeking underwriting assistants. Underwriting assistants support account executives in all aspects of new business, renewal and post-issue transactions.

This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, OH.

The pay rate for this position is $21.63 an hour. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and individual performance.

Be ready to:

• assist account executives in all aspects of file preparation to include:
  
  
  
  • gather and evaluate relevant information regarding exposure and controls
  
  
  • accurately complete documents used for account pricing analysis
  
  
  • document and analyze claims information for loss rating
  
  
  • run and review MVRs; decide on exclusions
  
  
  • follow‑up for signed forms, confirm agency licensing is in place, process motor carrier filings
  
  
  • create account proposal for review
  
  
  
  


• apply knowledge of coverage forms and guidelines in evaluation of change requests


• become proficient in a variety of systems and reports


• provide quality review of quotes and issued policies


• manage revisions to quotes to ensure integrity of the information and to eliminate discrepancies


• communicate with agency partners on behalf of the account executive to gather and relay information


• collaborate with account executives and managers to ensure compliance with state guidance and appropriate application of coverage


• draft detailed bind, issue, and booking instructions


• partner with team assistants and technology teams to meet service level agreements


• handle special projects and assignments as directed

Be equipped with:

Bring education and experience from:

• high school diploma (required)


• post‑secondary degree (preferred)


• two or more years of insurance related work experience (preferred)
