J D Fulwiler & Co Insurance in Portland, OR is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to independently manage an established book of business, partner with Producers on renewals, marketing, and coverage analysis, and deliver exceptional service to clients.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of Commercial Lines account management in an independent agency, a Property & Casualty license, and strong technical knowledge with Applied Epic and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Commercial Lines account management experience in an independent insurance agency.
• Property & Casualty Insurance License Required.
• Applied Epic experience preferred.
• Experience with Commercial Lines coverages.
• Independent Agency experience preferred.
• Strong computer and technical skills, including agency management software experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and related software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an assigned book of Commercial Lines accounts.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Partner with Producers on renewal strategy, marketing, account retention, and account rounding.
• Prepare marketing submissions, review carrier quotations, and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
• Coordinate renewals, endorsements, certificates, audits, and other account servicing activities.
• Serve as the primary service contact for assigned clients, carriers, and internal team members.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in Applied Epic.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and strengthening client relationships.
• Stay current on carrier appetite, coverage changes, and industry trends.
• Mentor and support less experienced team members as needed.
