Job summary

The Leavitt Group is seeking a Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent to partner with the Account Manager in delivering timely, professional service to clients. The CSA will develop knowledge of assigned accounts and uphold the department’s standards of excellence in client service, professionalism, and work attitude.

Key duties include processing emails, responding to policy change inquiries, handling certificate requests, supporting marketing during quotations, and assisting with claims

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must communicate information effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Current Property and Casualty Insurance License is required.
• Basic knowledge of insurance products is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process emails and move renewal-related items to the Account Manager folder.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries about policy changes.
• Place certificate requests in the correct folder for processing.
• Assist Account Manager with marketing during quotations.
• Help clients with filing claims or updating claims information.
• Process renewal certificates to ensure accuracy.
• Follow procedures for client correspondence and update the agency system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent

Description:

The Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent is responsible for working with the Account Manager in providing timely and professional service for the clients. The CSA is expected to develop a knowledge of assigned accounts and is expected to meet the department’s Standard of Excellence for client service, professionalism, and work attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Processes emails in agency boxes and moves them to the Account Manager folder if it pertains to a renewal
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding policy changes, etc., promptly
• Places Certificate requests in the appropriate folder or process them when needed
• Assists the Account Manager with marketing during the marketing and quotation process
• Assists clients/policyholders in filing claims or making claim updates
• Processes renewal certificates
• Follows department procedures for processing and preparation of customer correspondence, certificates of insurance, binder, cancellation requests, insurance ID cards and internal correspondence as requested, ensuring that activities and follow-ups are set and the client file in the agency management system is updated and consistent
• Fulfills other duties as assigned

Skills and Knowledge:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must be able to communicate information and respond to questions (both verbally and in written form) effectively with clients, company personnel, and others
• Possess current Property, Casualty Insurance License
• Basic knowledge of Insurance products
• Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting

• High-pressure, fast paced environment with significant telephone and personal disruption.
• Must have an ergonomic desk and chair. Desk large enough for two large monitors and laptop (provided by Leavitt)
• Quiet space – able to have conversations with clients, carriers, co-workers without background noise (family/children/animals).
• Must have high-speed internet connection – 50MB Up and Down or Higher. (Your internet provider will understand these numbers).
• Internet connection (not Wi-Fi) in your workspace.
