Job summary

JD Fulwiler & Company Insurance in Portland, OR, is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager who will independently manage an established book of business and partner with Producers to deliver tailored insurance solutions.

You will handle renewals, marketing submissions, coverage analysis, and ongoing client service, while mentoring teammates and staying current with carrier appetite and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of Commercial Lines account management experience with an independent agency.
• Experience with multiple carriers and renewal processes.
• Strong technical knowledge of Commercial Lines coverages and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an assigned book of Commercial Lines accounts.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Partner with Producers on renewal strategy, marketing, account retention, and account rounding.
• Prepare marketing submissions, review carrier quotations, and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
• Coordinate renewals, endorsements, certificates, audits, and other account servicing activities.
• Serve as the primary service contact for assigned clients, carriers, and internal team members.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in Applied Epic.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and strengthening client relationships.
• Stay current on carrier appetite, coverage changes, and industry trends.
• Mentor and support less experienced team members as needed.
