The Commercial Lines Account Manager manages aportfolio of commercial clients, ensuring their insurance programs areappropriately structured, competitively priced, and proactively serviced. Thisrole combines client relationship management, technical insurance expertise,and operational support to deliver an exceptional client experience whilesupporting account retention and growth.
Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Client Service & Account Management
- Serveas the primary point of contact for commercial clients, addressingcoverage questions, service requests, and policy inquiries.
- Conductaccount reviews to identify coverage gaps, emerging risks, andopportunities for improvement.
- Buildand maintain strong client relationships through proactive communicationand responsive service.
Policy Administration & Coverage Analysis
- Prepare,process, and review new business, renewals, endorsements, certificates,and cancellations.
- Analyzeclient exposures and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
- Ensurepolicy accuracy and compliance with agency and carrier guidelines.
Renewals, Marketing & Carrier Relations
- Developrenewal strategies based on client needs, market conditions, and carrierappetite.
- Marketaccounts, negotiate terms with carriers, and present coverage proposals toclients.
- Partnerwith producers to support client retention and account growth.
Documentation, Compliance & Team Support
- Maintainaccurate client records within the agency management system.
- Ensurecompliance with regulatory, agency, and carrier requirements.
- Trackpolicy activity, deadlines, and outstanding items to ensure timelycompletion.
- Collaboratewith producers, account executives, and service teams to deliver seamlessclient service.
- Supportclient onboarding, account transitions, and agency initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Experiencein commercial property and casualty insurance account management.
- Strongknowledge of commercial lines coverages, including General Liability,Property, Auto, Workers' Compensation, Umbrella, and Cyber.
- Excellentcommunication, organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
Preferred
- Professionaldesignations such as CIC, CISR, CRM, or ARM.
- Experiencewith mid-market or large commercial accounts.
