Job summary

Hilb Group in Hyannis, MA is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager for an in-office role. You will be the primary relationship manager for an assigned book, handling insurance inquiries, policy changes, billing, endorsements and renewals while coordinating with carriers to secure favorable terms.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in P&C customer service or sales, strong communication and time-management skills, and familiarity with AMS360.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 2+ years in customer service or sales in the P&C insurance industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-directed with good time management.
• Proficient with AMS360 or similar insurance software.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage an assigned book of business as primary client relationship manager.
• Handle inquiries regarding insurance coverages, policy changes and general questions.
• Process billing, service and endorsement requests and related paperwork.
• Act as liaison between customer and carrier to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship.
• Manage renewals, review loss information, update details and negotiate pricing when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of company systems and offerings.

The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Hyannis, MA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage an assigned book of business acting as the primary client relationship manager with responsibility for overall account servicing and maintenance
• Handle inquiries regarding insurance coverages, policy changes and general insurance questions as related to lines of business
• Handle billing, service and endorsement requests and process necessary paperwork associated with requested
• Act as liaison between customer and carrier working closely with both to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship
• Handle renewal/expiration list for assigned book of business, reviewing loss information, obtaining updated information, renewal applications, and negotiating renewal pricing when necessary
• Maintain knowledge of all company systems and offerings

Qualifications

• High Schol degree required
• 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales in the p&c insurance industry
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate via phone or email
• Superior listening skills and ability to probe customer needs and opportunities through question-based selling and retention techniques
• Self-directed with good decision making and time management skills
• Proficient PC skills; knowledge of insurance software including AMS360

Compensation

• $100,000-$115,000/yr.
