Risman Insurance Agencies in Massachusetts seeks a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. Based in Medford with offices in Tewksbury, Danvers, and Barre, we welcome employees to work from the most convenient location and offer a weekly work-from-home day after onboarding.

We support a team of more than 40 professionals and provide base salary plus commission and bonus opportunities, with comprehensive benefits including health plans and retirement options.

Qualifications

• A current P&C license is required.
• Experience with AMS360 or similar AMS is required.
• Minimum 3 years of middle market and small commercial experience.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication and client service focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of business for existing commercial lines.
• Handle renewals, service requests, claims, billing, and new policies.
• Review book for cross-selling and account round opportunities.
• Document information in AMS360.
• Rate policies and complete all phases of applications.
• Prepare and present quotes to clients and prospects.
• Educate clients on coverage options and work with providers.

Responsibilities

You will work as a member of a team of experienced, talented, and passionate insurance agents who provide outstanding service to our clients. Below are some of the responsibilities that this role includes:

• Manage a book of business of existing commercial lines
• Handle renewals, service requests, claims, billing, and new policiesReview existing book of business for cross-selling and account round opportunities
• Document information in our agency management system (AMS360)
• Rate insurance policies and complete all phases of the insurance application
• Prepare and present quotes to clients and prospects
• Educate clients about insurance coverage options
• Work with direct and wholesale insurance providers

Requirements

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and proactive in handling responsibilities. The candidate will be detail-oriented, work well with a team, and will have the following traits/experience:

• A current P&C (Property & Casualty) license required
• Experience using AMS360 or similar management software required
• Minimum 3 years middle market and small commercial experience required
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information
• Ability to learn and adapt to technology quickly
• Open to receiving regular constructive feedback relating to your performance
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and a friendly, positive attitude with both clients and coworkers
• A passion for providing outstanding customer service at all times
• Possess strong administrative and computing skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to actively listen, and problem-solve with minimal assistance
• The passion for growing into a leadership position
