Job summary

First Nebraska Bank in Valley, NE seeks a Commercial Loan Officer to develop and maintain loans for commercial, small business, professional, construction and real estate purposes. This full-time role involves acquiring new loans, maintaining banking relationships and promoting business development.

The position requires 2–3 years of commercial lending experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and appropriate lending licenses.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business, banking, finance, or related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of banking experience with emphasis in commercial lending.
Appropriate lending licenses, as required.
Valid Driver’s License.
Good communication and demonstrated managerial/supervisory experience.
Experience in commercial, agricultural, installment and real estate lending.

Responsibilities

Interview loan applicants to determine financial needs and creditworthiness.
Gathers financial data, prepares credit analysis and loan presentation.
Grants loans within lending authority and recommends to loan committee.
Closes loans with proper documentation and regulatory compliance.
Identify and meet customers' total financial service needs; strengthen relationships.
Contact delinquent customers to collect past due loans.
Promote bank products/services to existing and new customers.
Represent the bank in civic/community organizations to develop business.
Additional related duties; comply with Bank Secrecy Act and AML regulations.
