Job summary

Lake Michigan Credit Union is seeking a Commercial Lending Intern for Winter 2027 (January–April 2027). This fully on-site Tampa, FL role is part-time and temporary, averaging 20–25 hours per week.

You’ll gain exposure to the commercial lending process, focusing on appraisal verification, data transfer for Conventional and SBA loans, and credit underwriting support. You'll support the Commercial Credit Team with documentation, tracking loan portfolios, and participating in meetings to learn

Qualifications

• 3.0 GPA or greater.
• Current college student (Freshmen to Graduate) or recent graduate within 3 months.
• Major in Finance, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify commercial real estate appraisal information for accuracy.
• Assist in transferring credit memorandum data for Conventional and SBA loans.
• Support the Commercial Credit team with loan documentation and tracking.
• Track and report progress in reviewing the Commercial Loan Portfolio.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute process improvement ideas.
