Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation seeks a detail-oriented Lending Assistant to support loan officers with secretarial tasks, loan processing, and customer service. You will manage files, coordinate closings, and ensure accurate documentation across the loan pipeline.

The role requires familiarity with lending processes, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Proficiency with loan software is preferred and collaboration with third parties is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with lending software and loan processes highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide secretarial and administrative support for loan officers.
• Manage workflow to move loans through the pipeline efficiently.
• Schedule appointments and closings for loan officers.
• Prepare loan checklists and establish loan files.
• Track annual reviews and renewals for loans.
• Prepare tickets and loan documents for booking.
• Assist customers with questions and issues; respond promptly to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with attorneys, appraisers, and title companies.
