Job summary

PhaseV seeks a commercially minded legal leader in the United States to partner with the US commercial organization and cross-functional teams, driving scale while upholding legal rigor. You will draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements and coordinate with the Israel-based legal team, accelerating partnerships and operational processes across finance, operations, and BD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience, including law firm work.
• In-house commercial legal experience, ideally at a Series A or later company.
• Experience with high-growth tech, SaaS, AI and/or life sciences.
• Familiarity with privacy, data licensing, AI, IP, and clinical research agreements.
• J.D. and bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong business judgment and practical risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the legal partner for the U.S. commercial organization.
• Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, MSAs, SaaS, data licenses, consulting and vendor contracts.
• Triage legal requests and escalate when needed.
• Coordinate outside counsel for specialized matters.
• Develop scalable contract templates, playbooks, and approval processes.
• Partner with the Legal Director to ensure global legal support.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operations and scale.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements across the org.
• Support strategic partnerships and executive projects.
• Evaluate and implement systems, tools, workflows to boost efficiency.
• Drive improvements reducing friction across teams.
• Build strong relationships with commercial stakeholders as trusted advisor.
• Assist with financing, strategic transactions, and other corporate initiatives.
