Coates Group, based in Chicago, IL, seeks a Commercial Legal Counsel to negotiate and draft commercial agreements, advise on commercial matters, and manage organizational risk. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business objectives and establish efficient contract-management processes.

The role requires a JD or equivalent, bar admission in a common law jurisdiction, and 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in-house at a technology company or commercial law firm.

• JD or equivalent required; bar admission in a common law jurisdiction preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in-house at a tech company or commercial law firm.
• Strong ability to negotiate, draft, and review commercial agreements and provide practical legal guidance.

• Provide timely legal advice to support business decisions.
